THANKS~! 8D The background cards are canvas paper, I bought a really cheap pad of it at Michael's, Canson brand. It's made specifically to paint on with acrylics, watercolor, etc... but I usually sketch and color/watercolor-paint the character on some other paper, then cut it out and paste it to the canvas card. I guess I like the idea of layering images over each other on a card... I can't wait to get that tiny star-shaped confetti, that'll be a lot of fun to arrange around the figures too. 8D

oooo, I hadn't thought of cutting out sketched/painted figures and pasting them onto other backgrounds. O_O The effect is quite nice. X3 I may have to try it some time.

I think I'll start out just sketching on card stock to practice. Maybe I'll get more elaborate later...
